Jane Pleace
Global Fundraising Director, Tearfund
Jane Pleace currently serves as the Global Fundraising Director of Tearfund, one of the world’s leading Christian NGOs. Tearfund partners with churches in more than 50 of the world’s poorest countries to tackle poverty through sustainable development, responding to disasters, and challenging injustice.

Jane began her management career in financial services before heeding God’s call to move into the nonprofit sector in her late twenties. Jane has a passion for reducing spiritual and material poverty which has led to a career working in international development, particularly in Christian organisations. She has worked in senior marketing and communication roles at World Vision, Oxfam and United Bible Societies. Jane has witnessed the Word of God acting as the catalyst for transformational change in many countries around the world. This fuels her passion to see the Bible translated into every language so that every person may have the opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ and live life in all its fullness.

Jane lives in the beautiful countryside of South West England. She worships at Bath Abbey and its sister church St Michaels Without. Jane is a Trustee Director of Bath Abbey, Christians Against Poverty and The Zena Launchpad. In her spare time Jane enjoys hiking and exploring nature, pilates, reading and hopes to return to baking cakes and hosting meals for friends once the Covid pandemic is over.
