Universitas Tanah Suci, Yerusalem<\/a>.<\/p>\nSekolah Bahasa Ibrani Alkitabiah akan membawa para peserta dari tingkat pemula ke kemahiran penerjemahan dalam bahasa Ibrani Alkitabiah dalam waktu 8 bulan, membekali mereka dengan keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk kemahiran dalam menerjemahkan Perjanjian Lama langsung dari bahasa sumber. SBH adalah program satu-satunya yang melatih para penerjemah untuk membuat keputusan independen tentang makna teks sumber dalam proyek-proyek penerjemahan Perjanjian Lama.<\/p>\n
Melalui mata kuliah interdisipliner dan pengalaman, para peserta diberikan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan untuk mengatasi beragam masalah linguistik yang dihadapi penerjemah di lapangan. Program ini menyediakan 48 kredit dalam bahasa Ibrani, dengan kredit bahasa Ibrani alkitabiah 3 kali lebih banyak daripada persyaratan umum saat ini untuk Konsultan Penerjemahan.<\/p>\n
Program 8 bulan ini unik karena memanfaatkan lingkungan di Israel modern untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang optimal untuk pelatihan bahasa Ibrani alkitabiah, dengan menggabungkan 3 untaian: pencelupan bahasa Ibrani alkitabiah, tanah dan budaya alkitabiah, dan lingkungan belajar langsung. 90% dari pelatihan bahasa Ibrani alkitabiah diajarkan dalam bahasa itu sendiri, baik pada tingkat awal maupun menengah.<\/p>\n

Perjanjian Lama adalah dasar untuk memahami pesan kerajaan dan sangat penting untuk membangun dan mempertahankan gerakan pemuridan. Namun, hanya 8% dari bahasa-bahasa di dunia yang memiliki Alkitab lengkap, dan hanya 1 dari 5 proyek penerjemahan Alkitab yang berfokus pada penerjemahan Perjanjian Lama. Ada lebih dari 4.000 bahasa yang masih membutuhkan terjemahan untuk Perjanjian Lama.<\/p>\n
Whole Word Institute mendukung dan menyediakan sumber daya bagi inisiatif penerjemahan yang ada sebagai pusat pembelajaran dan sumber daya, melatih para penerjemah dan konsultan penerjemah Alkitab dan penutur asli bahasa Ibrani sebagai konsultan penerjemahan. Institut ini bekerja secara strategis untuk mempercepat proses pelatihan tanpa kehilangan kualitas, dengan memanfaatkan keahlian dari institusi dan program-program terkemuka serta konteks dan budaya yang unik dari Tanah Suci.<\/p>\n
