MA in Classical Hebrew with Specializations in Translation Consulting and Assisted Translation Technologies*
12 months in Jerusalem & 6-12 months in the field
VISÃO GERAL
This program is designed for those desiring to multiply translations by managing translation teams working directly from the original authoritative Scriptures into their own languages utilizing assisted translation technologies. It consists of the SBH and ATT Laboratory learning experience, coupled with Consultant Training and field internship.
ANO 1: ESTUDO DE JERUSALÉM
Parte 1: Escola de Hebraico Bíblico
The first part of study is the School of Biblical Hebrew (SBH) the aim of which is for participants to attain basic translation proficiency in Biblical Hebrew (48 credits). This program is run for three semesters. See SBH page for more information.
Parte 2: Período de estudo em Jerusalém
Upon completion of the SBH, while still in Jerusalem, participants will undertake additional cursos (11 créditos). Esses cursos são ministrados em inglês e destinados a consultores de tradução em treinamento.

ANO 2: ESTÁGIO DE CAMPO E CURSOS À DISTÂNCIA
Parte 1: Estágio de campo (8 créditos)
Participants complete two field internships of 4 credits each under the supervision of a translation consultant. It is expected, but not required, that at least one internship is based on a written Bible translation project. Field internships are coordinated with partner translation organizations, therefore their duration can vary. If a student is planning on a Specialization, they may substitute an internship appropriate to the Specialization for the second internship. Deaf internships may be based solely on sign language projects.
Parte 2: Leituras obrigatórias e cursos remotos (3 créditos)
Prior to graduation, each student is expected to have read the Hebrew Bible. The absolute minimum requirement entails the Torah (Breshit through Dvarim), the first 12 chapters of Isaiah, and 30 selected Psalms.
