Jane Pleace
Executive Vice President, Global Advancement

Jane Pleace joins Whole Word Institute as Executive Vice President, Global Advancement, after a two-year term serving on the Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Whole Word, Jane served as the Global Fundraising Director of Tearfund, one of the world’s leading Christian NGOs. Tearfund partners with churches in more than 50 of the world’s poorest countries to tackle poverty through sustainable development, responding to disasters, and challenging injustice.

Jane began her management career in financial services before heeding God’s call to move into the nonprofit sector in her late twenties. Jane has a passion for reducing spiritual and material poverty which has led to a career working in international development, particularly in Christian organisations. She has worked in senior marketing and leadership roles at World Vision, Oxfam and United Bible Societies. Jane has witnessed the Word of God acting as the catalyst for transformational change in many countries around the world. This fuels her passion to see the Bible translated into every language so that every person may have the opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ and live life in all its fullness.

Jane lives in the beautiful countryside of South West England. She worships at St Michael’s Without in Bath. Jane is a Trustee Director of Christians Against Poverty, The Zena Launchpad and St Michael’s Without in the UK. She also serves on the board of The Chalmers Center in the USA. In her spare time Jane enjoys swimming, hiking and reading, as well as hosting meals for friends.
